In the editorial of the current \n this side <\/a>\n<\/em>editor Erwin Kress writes: “Humanism as an idea and world view has always been linked to enlightenment. What can we do to help people become aware of themselves, their situation and how it can be changed?” <\/p>\n\n

In issue no. 129 of our humanist magazine, we focus on the big and small questions of humanist education. We look at perspectives on early childhood education in nurseries, values education in schools, views on humanist teaching, youth education work in digital times and the relevance of historical testimonies for the here and now. <\/p>\n\n

It is about philosophy and love, about poetry and history, about enthusiasm for science and critical thinking. As always, concrete projects and examples of our practical humanism will be presented: What does the work of a grief counselor have to do with heart education? And to what extent does a Qi Gong course help senior citizens with digitalization in old age? And, of course, diesseits<\/em> also takes a look beyond its own horizons: a report highlights the situation of humanist schools in Uganda, while a guest article by Humanists UK<\/em> examines the fight for inclusive schools in the UK.<\/p>\n\n
