Humanist Association: disappointing statement by the German Ethics Council on assisted suicide. At its meeting yesterday, the German Ethics Council adopted an ad hoc recommendation on the ongoing debate on the legal regulation of assisted suicide in Germany. Erwin Kress, Vice President of the German Humanist Association and spokesperson on the subject of autonomy at the end of life, expressed his criticism of the Ethics Council’s opinion on Friday morning.
