HVD regional associations

Our practical humanism is brought to life by our members and volunteer supporters.

The HVD Federal Association has a national head office in Berlin, but the foundation of our practical humanism is formed above all by our HVD regional associations: these offer different regional services “from the cradle to the grave”, from daycare centers and naming ceremonies to weddings, humanist education and humanist counseling to hospice services and living wills.

Our humanist member organizations are very diverse: some are still young, others have a more than hundred years of history. Some are still small and do not have their own office, others are already established and have many members. The largest national association is the HVD Berlin-Brandenburg with over 1,300 employees. Some humanist organizations are registered non-profit associations, others are recognized corporations under public law and are committed to the common good.

What they all have in common is that they would be inconceivable without the diverse commitment of volunteers – Participation welcome! Membership of a regional association is based on the federal state of residence. The wide range of offers are not only available to the company’s own members.

The Young Humanists, the youth organizations of our regional associations, have formed their own nationwide umbrella organization: the Federal Association of Young Humanists.

On the following pages you will find information on all member organizations of the HVD Bundesverband. If you are interested in a Membership it is best to contact the association in your federal state directly.
