Humanists ring in the Reformation year 2017

Deutschlandfunk radio reported on the initiative from the Humanist Association as part of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

To mark Human Rights Day on December 10, 2016, supporters of the demands for the Glass Walls report in several major cities began to draw attention to the discrimination of unchurched and non-religious citizens by publicly posting “theses”. The website for the campaign states: “‘Reformation means questioning the world’ – this motto is used to promote the 500th anniversary of the publication of the 95 theses by monk and theology professor Martin Luther in 1517.” To this day, the posting of Martin Luther’s theses is regarded as the starting signal for the Reformation. 500 years later, people are once again posting their theses in public places. Only now it is not professors of theology who are calling for a new Reformation, but people of no religion.
