Issue 128 of diesseits is dedicated to one of the most important topics of our time: man-made climate change.
Editor Erwin Kress writes in the editorial:
“We are experiencing the consequences of our actions: rising sea levels, massive loss of species in the animal and plant world, shrinking habitats and resources and, as a result, the risk of famines, refugee movements and new distribution struggles for land, water and food.
Every day that we do not finally take countermeasures or even continue as before, we endanger our own livelihoods – and those of future generations. And yet the decisive steps are not being taken.”
In the current issue, we therefore take a look at the obstacles to our own actions and ask ourselves how we can overcome them. What is our relationship with nature? Why do we eat animals? What humanistic positions are there on this?
