Invitation: International symposium of humanist counselors in Berlin

From October 27 to 31, 2025, European pastoral caregivers will discuss the future of humanistic pastoral care at the international symposium "European perspectives on humanist existential care" in Berlin.

The international symposium “European perspectives on humanist existential care” will take place at the Humanistische Hochschule Berlin. Researchers, practitioners and representatives of humanist organizations from several European countries will come together to discuss concepts and experiences of humanist pastoral care.

Humanist chaplains from the hospital, prison and military sectors will discuss questions of humane care, professional attitudes and the further development of existential care in a humanist context. The conference is organized by the European Humanist Services Network.

Program highlights include contributions by Wilhelm Schmid, Liz Young, Gaby Jacobs, Ingun Steen Andersen, Adelheid Rigo and Daniela Staack.
