The Humanist Association of Germany – Federal Association was officially admitted on April 10, 2025 as part of the Climate Alliance Germany members’ plenary session in Cologne. By joining the national climate alliance, the Humanist Association of Germany aims to strengthen its voice in the climate policy debate – scientifically sound, ethically reflected and supported by solidarity.
Climate protection is a question of responsibility for people and the environment. The climate crisis affects us all – and requires decisive, joint action. From a humanist perspective, this means combining the protection of our natural resources with a commitment to social justice. This is the only way to ensure a future worth living for generations to come.
The Climate Alliance Germany is the largest civil society alliance for climate protection in Germany. With over 150 member organizations from the fields of environment, church, development, education, culture, health, consumer protection, youth, social affairs and trade unions, it campaigns for an ambitious and socially just climate policy at local, national, European and international level. Together, its members represent around 32 million people.
