On the eve of the 2026 World Humanist Congress, the First International Conference on Humanist Military Chaplaincy took place. Humanist military chaplains and representatives of secular chaplaincy organizations from various countries came together to exchange experiences and discuss the future of humanist, values-based support for soldiers.

August 6, 2026, in Ottawa, Canada: On the eve of the 2026 World Humanist Congress, the First International Conference on Humanist Military Chaplaincy took place. The conference focused on how to provide support to people on overseas deployments, during crises, and in the day-to-day realities of military service.
